Dr. Russell J. Zwanka started Triple Eight Marketing as an alternative to large impersonal consulting firms. We work together as a customized food and beverage strategic consulting provider. We can roll up our sleeves, provide personal service, and do it without the massive overhead of other consulting firms.
Russell has led the merchandising, marketing, advertising, procurement, and all customer engagement areas for multiple food and beverage organizations in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Z is a Marketing Professor at the State University of New York at New Paltz, is the Faculty Advisor for the New Paltz AMA Chapter. Zwanka formed and leads the Food Marketing courses at SUNY New Paltz- a vibrant, energetic program focusing on marketing principles, sales management, food retail marketing, category management, and marketing strategy.
Zwanka holds a Doctorate in International Business from the International School of Management in Paris, France. He also holds a Masters of Science in Management from Southern Wesleyan University, and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of South Carolina.
Dr. Z, as he is known to his students, has spoken at multiple events, including the Hospitality Resource Group's Annual Conference, Frozen and Refrigerated Association of the Northeast's Annual Conference, the National Grocers Association Event, HVEDC's Beer/ Wine/ Cider/ Spirits Event, Bet on My Business Academy, Carnegie Mellon Social Media Conference, the University of Manitoba Marketing Conference, and the Argyle Executive Forum in New York City. Additionally, he has served on the IGA Retailer Advisory Board, the Consumer Goods Forum Marketing Committee, the Topco Operations Board, and the Nielsen Retailer Advisory Committee. Dr. Zwanka previously taught marketing and management/ organizational strategy at Siena College and Hudson Valley Community College.
